What's the difference between the good times and the boogie?

2500km down...Saturday night party night back in Sydney turned out to be a bit of a non-starter it being the 19th night in a row and all! On Sunday we visited Palm Beach the home of Home and Away. We ate chish and fips and wandered around. It was a bit grey and cloudy so it didn't look all that brilliant although considering how disappoited Martin was we figured he must have been expecting the entire cast of Home and Away from ten years ago (when he used to watch it) to be there to meet and greet him!

In the evening we went for some DAMN good pizza...and Stu informed us that human beings spend on average two whole weeks of their life kissing - we didn't think this sounded like too much until we worked out that we would have to kiss someone for two minutes every day for the rest of our lives and live till we were 100! Martin dragged us back to O'Malleys that evening which was DAMN busy so we squeezed ourselves into the corner and proceeded to get drunk! To be honest we were slightly too drunk and it was slightly too late by the time we got home considering we had to be at the bus pick up point at 7:40am for our wine tasting tour to the Hunter Valley. At 7am we were all a bit worse for wear and Madtin was distraught that he couldn't find his water bottle..."Where's my water bottle? I've lost my water bottle" (repeat 50 times) It's a miracle we made it on time!

After we picked everyone up our guide Steve-o talked for what felt like a million years while we were all quite eager to sleep. When he stopped at the servo and the golden arches shined down on us - you should have seen Amy run! Only one thing on her mind...sausage and egg mcmuffins :) At 11am we arrived at our first winery - excellent, 7/8 tastings, some shortbread and chocolate cake later it is debateable whether we feel more or less sick than at 7am!

Winery #2 - 6/7 more tastings (it's a weekday so they are far more generous with the number of tastings they give you), Schnoo has already bought two bottles and then Madtin buys us one for our lunch!! It was another best ever on the lunch front - we had panish bread sandwiches (which in some french/english language almost translates as breadish bread!) which in another language means focaccia! Some cheese, some more wine and more purchases later and we are on our way back to Sydney! Sleeping all the way :)

Alison returned back to the brood from New Zealand so we went out for dinner to catch up. We found a place that sold cheap sangria and realised once we'd ordered it that it was soo cheap because the jugs were the size of sparrows!

We almost slept in too late to go to the Blue Mountains the next day but decided to go anyway...going via the best ever sandwich shop on the way to calm Martin's cravings/moanings. We visited Katoomba and the three sisters, walked down a giant staircase, trekked through the woods and came back up on the steepest railway in the world ever! Then when we got to the top we realised we were miles away from the car and had to get a cable car...it was ace, the floor was all frosted over and then halfway across is all vanished so you could see through it!

We went for our final best ever $10 steaks that evening and then headed to the Empire for some dancing and general fun...at one stage Stu and I were trying to do the splits?!?! It was a fab last night!

And that's all folks...we took Madtin and Schnoo to the airport the next morning and said some more teary g'byes :( We miss you guys already...come back, come back!
